Our journey began in 2011, when our founder, Dr. Alicia Ritchey, relocated from Miami, Florida, to Crisp County-Cordele, Georgia—a culturally rich but economically challenged town. Recognizing the resilience and untapped potential within Cordele’s Black community, she launched indigoLife™ Magazine in 2013, an upscale publication spotlighting “Black Life Treasures”—individuals making meaningful contributions with little recognition.
This initiative ignited a movement, shifting perceptions and inspiring action. By 2014, indigoLife™ Communications, Inc. was established, expanding beyond media to offer strategic consulting, events, and training to strengthen communities and businesses.
A Global Shift & Expanding Impact
By 2020, we embraced a virtual business model, broadening our reach and impact internationally. Today, our consultancy integrates storytelling, leadership and conflict resolution training, publishing, and social climate strategies to help clients foster stronger communities, build economic opportunities, and drive meaningful change.
What is an indigoLife?
